When you come to our clinic for a medication review our friendly consultant will need to undertake a full psychiatric assessment. This can take up to 2 hours. They will take a full history and depending on the outcome and information gathered, they will have the ability where they see fit and the patient agrees to suggest possible medication changes.

Anyone can have a psychiatric assessment. We accept medical referrals and also self referrals.
As a private clinic we can provide private prescriptions following a full assessment. However, it is best practice to inform the patient’s GP and request they write the prescription with our specialist recommendations.
Every assessment type is different and requires different tools and assessment strategies therefore the timing can vary depending on the condition being assessed. Generally speaking, assessments can last from 1-2 hours, however, some may take a little longer.
Yes, once our specialists have completed a full assessment, they will continue to take over your mental health care as long as you wish with follow up appointments.
